Go Saints! XHS Activities Week-in-Review: June 2, 2017

The Boys Soccer team won their state semifinal game today vs. Iowa Falls 4-2.  The Saints play tomorrow for the Class 2A state title vs. Norwalk at 2:30 p.m.

The Girls Soccer team defeated Ballard, 10-0 in the IGHSAU Regional Semi-final on Tuesday.  The Saints play for a trip to state on Monday when they host Grinnell at HECO field.

 

The 15th ranked Xavier Softball team split with Iowa City West on Tuesday and Dubuque Hempstead on Thursday.  The Saints play again at Burlington on Saturday and return to MVC action Tuesday when they face Class 5A #1 ranked Jefferson.

 

Sarah Abu Nameh dropped her first round match at state singles tennis but bounced back to win 3 consolations matches to earn a spot in the consolation championship match.

 

The Xavier Boys Tennis team won the school’s first ever STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in Team Tennis!  Congrats to Coach Jim Potts and the Saints!  Charlie Esker and Jon Lansing won the state doubles title and Ryan Jasper/Alex Hinrichs finished 7th.

 

The Xavier Baseball team hosts Waterloo East in an MVC double-header tonight at Ken Charipar field.
