There are two boards which serve Xavier High School: The Xavier Board of Education, whose primary responsibility is to govern the operations of Xavier High School, and the Xavier Foundation Board, whose responsibility it is to oversee the school’s development and fundraising initiatives. Several members of each board also serve on a “Joint Executive Committee” (JEC), which oversees the president.

Any member of the Xavier community is welcome to address the Board of Education at a regularly scheduled meeting. To address or make comments at a Board meeting, you must first be added to the agenda. Please contact Xavier President Chris McCarville at 319-294-6635 ext. 305 or by email chris.mccarville@xaviersaints.org to be added to the agenda. The deadline to be added to the agenda for comments is 3 p.m. the Friday prior to each meeting. If the reason for addressing the Board pertains to a concern, it must first be addressed with the Xavier staff member and also administrator most closely related to the situation. Under no circumstances will someone be allowed to address the Board regarding a concern if this step is not first completed. Comments are limited to two minutes per guest. 30 minutes is the maximum amount of time allotted for guest comments.
