Creating a Parent Canvas Account

Generating a Pairing Code...
Ask your child to generate a pairing code for each parent/guardian/mentor. Students can generate a pairing code in their Canvas account by going to Settings > Pair with Observer (write down the code that is displayed or scan the QR code).

1. Using a computer, go to xavier.instructure.com
2. As shown below, click on the link “Parent of a Canvas User?”
3. Fill out your name and email, choose a password, enter the pairing code and check the box to agree to the terms. 
4. Open your email to complete the account registration.
5. If you have another child to add, go to Account -> Settings -> Observing and add the other child’s information.
