Common Thread: Dancing with the Saints

The magnificent seventh season of Dancing with the Saints featured an evening packed with all the fun and excitement this event brings year after year. On January 14, 2023, guests were treated to eleven show-stopping performances by Tami Westhoff and Cameron Boyd, Randy Deutmeyer and Sara Eighme, Christina Chalhoub (X04) and Derrick Murray, Nikki Wilcox and Billy Vogl, Cory Rath and Grace Beaty, Scot Hughes and Erica Ireland, Britney Courter and Brody White (X09), Devin Sires and Vanessa Terrell, Michelle Ridder and Shawn Nelson, Wes Cooling and Susie Murray, and Dr. Vincent Reid and Alizabeth Von Presley. 

These dancing pairs went above and beyond with the motivation of increasing pay for PK-12 Xavier Catholic Schools teachers. All of our participants gave remarkable performances and the Xavier community is proud and thankful for each dancer and pro. The People’s Choice Champions were Britney Courter and Brody White, who raised the most voting donation dollars. Devin Sires and Vanessa Terrel had an impressive, country-inspired performance and earned the Judge’s Choice Champions award. The Best Choreography award was earned by Nikki Wilcox and Billy Vogl for their flawless dancing performance. Congratulations to all of our award winners!

We are thrilled to announce that DWTS Season 7 raised over $200,000 in proceeds to support the PK-12 Xavier Catholic Schools teacher salaries. Collectively, this event has reached the $1 million mark in combined proceeds from all seven seasons of Dancing with the Saints. We are grateful for every person involved in making this event a continued success: the dancers, the volunteers, the audience, and especially those who donate toward the event each year. 
 

This event, one of the biggest nights in the Xavier community, will continue in 2024 for DWTS Season 8. Elated does not describe how eager we are to see this showcase featuring: Scott Ireland, Erica McCarville, Liz Carter, Ashlee Fandel, Eric Conlon, Jennifer Meyer (R98), Matt Evans, Kelley Dempewolf, and Reggie Schulte (X13).
