Alumni Return Home
We were blessed to have some of our “Light of the World” award alumni return home for our Homecoming Mass on October 4th. Thank you to Fr. Kyle Tietz (X11), Fr. Aaron Junge (X08), Jerica Christensen (X10), Connor Miller (X17), Anne Scherrman (X15), Eric Faurote (X01), and Paige Diebold (X18) for “coming home” to celebrate with us!
The Light of the World is Xavier’s highest honor, which is given to a senior who has lived out his or her Baptismal calling for living an ‘xemplary life of service and sacrifice with strong faith -- and who proudly lives that faith daily in word and action. Each of our special alumni guests processed to the altar prior to Mass with lit candles as a symbol of their honor, the example they set for future generations, and the higher purpose to which we are all called to live. Our Light of the World honorees were presented with a commemorative XHS 25th anniversary pin at a reception following the Mass.
