Mr. Allard joins our faculty as our new band director. He comes to Xavier having previously served as the assistant director of bands at Cedar Rapids Jefferson and with 23 years total teaching experience. He is an active member of St. John XXIII parish and holds a master’s degree in Music Education from VanderCook School of Music.
Ms. Venteicher joins our faculty as our new digital art teacher. She has taught at Clinton Middle School with previous experience as a lead graphic designer.
Mr. Winterhof joins our staff as our new school counselor. He is a native of Walnut, Iowa who comes to Xavier from completing an international teaching experience in Vietnam and China. He has experience in counseling, leading youth groups, and school marketing.
Mr. Quintana comes to Xavier from the Canary Islands (Spain) through the Spanish Visiting Exchange Teacher Program in Iowa in conjunction with the Iowa Department of Education. He will serve as a new Spanish teacher in our World Languages Department.
Ms. Ludwig joins our faculty a new teacher in our English Department. She is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. During her time as a Panther, she was actively involved at St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center in Cedar Falls.
Mr. Geilenfeld joins Xavier's administration as our new associate principal. He comes to Xavier from Cedar Rapids Prairie High School, having served as an associate principal there the past two years. Previously, he served as principal at Christ the King elementary school in Des Moines from 2015-2020.
Mrs. Zieser joins our staff as our new Technology Coordinator. She comes to Xavier having served as a technology teacher in the College Community School System. Her experience along with teaching technology to students includes teacher support, and an interest in problem solving.

Mr. Svare is our new activities director. He is a native of Marengo, Iowa and has served as Xavier's associate principal since July 2020. Since joining Xavier's administrative team, Svare has made a significant contribution to the success and support of the school and its students.
Mr. Winker re-joins the Xavier staff as our new Assistant Activities Director. In this position, he will assist with the management of the multitude of activities-based events and serve as an important resource to our new activities director, Mr. Matt Svare. Mr. Winker served as Xavier's first activities director from 1998-2016 (and at Regis High School from 1993-1998 prior to that). He is currently a lecturer in the Sport and Recreation Management program at the University of Iowa and an advisor for the Interscholastic AD Certification program. Longtime XHS science teacher and coach, Mr. Camacho, will be splitting his time between his teaching duties and serving as our new Building Facilitator. Mr. Camacho has been a part of our faculty for more than 20 years and has also served as a coach in various activities over that time. He is currently the head coach for our bowling program and serves as the head coach for boys track. In his new role, he will primarily be responsible for handling student discipline, attendance, school safety in addition to non-curricular supervision. Read more...
