Boys and Girls Track
Good Luck to all the boys and girls competing at the State track meet in Des Moines Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! Representing the boys' team, Aidan McDermott will compete in the 100 M Dash, Jevin Rexroth in the 400 M Dash, Marcus Camacho in the 800 M Run, Grayson Hartman in the 110 Hurdles, and Jason Stevenson in the Shot Put. They will also showcase their teamwork in the 4x400 M Relay, featuring Kaleb Wilgenbusch, Josef Lemker, Lucas Frost, and Grayson Hartman, as well as the Distance Medley Relay with Quinn Olson, Will Hacke, Coleton Beasler-Weber, and Grayson Hartman. On the girls' team, Naomi Durin and Sierra Durin will compete in the 100 M Hurdles, Emma Arnold in the 400 M Hurdles, and Ava VanBerkum and Libby Fandel in the High Jump. Jaclyn Meyer will showcase her skills in the Long Jump. Together, they will form a formidable team in the 4x100 M Shuttle Hurdle Relay, with Ava VanBerkum, Jaclyn Meyer, Sierra Durin, and Naomi Durin. In the 4x100 M Relay, Sierra Durin, Naomi Durin, Olivia Neal, and Kate Weiss will demonstrate their speed and agility. The girls' team will also participate in the 4x800 M Relay, with Mia Deegan, Anabelle Neal, Elena Schmit, and Emma Arnold, as well as the Spring Medley Relay, featuring Naomi Durin, Olivia Neal, Kate Weiss, and Emma Arnold. Boys Soccer
We extend our congratulations to Coach Takoaka and the boy's soccer team on their impressive 2-0 triumph over Waverly Shell Rock on Tuesday. As they forge ahead the next challenge awaits them against ADM in a highly anticipated semifinal match, scheduled to start at 7:30 PM on Monday. Best of luck on Monday!
Girls Soccer
Congratulations to Coach Johnson and the girl's soccer team on their 3-0 victory over CR Prairie on Friday. Also, on their 1-0 win over IC Liberty on Tuesday which secured their Missisisspip Division 1st place finish!
Girls Golf
Coach Kadlec and the girl's golf team showcased their talent and determination in recent competitions. At the Mississippi Divisional meet, they clinched an impressive 2nd place finish. Meera Julka stood out as the meet medalist runner-up, scoring 78. Meera and Mehar Julka earned spots on the Mississippi All-Divisional team, while Jenna Kramer received 2nd Team recognition and Casey Gannon received Honorable Mention.
In the regional golf meet, the team achieved 1st place, securing their qualification for the State golf tournament in Cedar Falls. Mehar Julka led the way as the meet medalist with a score of 71, followed closely by Meera Julka with a score of 76.
Congratulations to Coach Kadlec and the entire team for their remarkable achievements. They head to the State tournament next Thursday and Friday in Cedar Falls.
Girls Tennis
Coach Foxhoven and the girl's tennis team celebrated resounding victories in the regional team matches over South Tama and Grinnell on Saturday, triumphing with identical scores of 5-0. The team's impressive performance and unwavering determination propelled them to the Regional Final. The victorious journey continued for them as they emerged triumphant in their regional final match against Ballard on Tuesday, earning them a well-deserved ticket to the State.
Furthermore, we commend the exceptional achievements of several tennis players who showcased their skills and received well-deserved recognition. Avery Link's remarkable talent earned her a spot on the 1st Team of the Mississippi Valley Conference (MVC) divisional teams for girls' tennis. Ali Schuchmann, Izzy Tobin, and Ruby Smith exhibited their prowess on the court, securing spots on the 2nd Team. Additionally, Isabel Barnes and Olivia Cobb's notable performances earned them Honorable Mention.
The state will take place in Iowa City this Saturday, with matches starting at 9:00 AM!
Boys Tennis
Coach Potts and the boy's tennis team secured a resounding victory against Marion, triumphing with a 5-0 scoreline. Their impressive performance propelled them to the Substate Final, where they faced off against Davenport Assumption. Their victory over Assumption secured their sixth consecutive trip to the State tournament, an impressive feat that showcases their consistent excellence.
In addition, we commend the outstanding achievements of several tennis players who demonstrated their exceptional skills and received well-deserved recognition. Charlie LeGrand's remarkable talent earned him a coveted spot on the 1st Team of the Mississippi Valley Conference (MVC) divisional teams for boys' tennis. Ryan Schmit's remarkable performances secured him a place on the 2nd Team, while Jacob Schmit and Andrew Miller received Honorable Mention for their valuable contributions to the team's success.

Trap Shooting
Congratulations to Coach Dummermuth and the trap shooting team on their impressive 3rd-place finish last Saturday. With an outstanding score of 468 out of 500, the team consisting of Preston Feuerbach, Rory Schroud, Ty Lampe, Jackson Dybvig, and Will Fagle showcased their remarkable skill and determination.
Looking ahead, good luck to the trap team as they prepare to compete in Cedar Falls this Saturday. The meet will commence at 9:00 AM!
Baseball
Congratulations to Coach Halter and the baseball team for their outstanding performances. Last night, they achieved an impressive sweep against Waterloo West, triumphing with scores of 9-2 and 18-0. Additionally, they had a remarkable 10-0 win over IC West on Tuesday.
Their next game is Thursday night at Marion at 7:00 PM!
