Baseball:
The varsity baseball team started the season on a strong note. They are 4-0 after sweeping Waterloo West on Monday (13-0, 17-7) and Linn-Mar on Tuesday (2-0, 3-1). The Saints will be back in action tonight as they host Marion in a single varsity game starting at 7:00pm.
Boys Soccer:
Boys soccer will host Charles City in the first round of Postseason play tonight at Xavier. The game is scheduled for a 6:30pm kickoff. The winner will move on to play next week Monday.
Girls Soccer:
Girls soccer defeated Kennedy 4-2 last Friday. On Tuesday, they defeated Iowa City West 3-2. With this win, the Saints won the Valley Division with a 6-0 record in conference play and 10-3 overall.
For the postseason, the girls received a first round bye. They will play the winner of CR Washington and South Tama on Tuesday the 24th at 6:00pm here at Xavier.
Girls Golf:
The girls Golf team traveled to Brown Deer in Coralville for the 3A Regional meet on Wednesday. The team finished 5th out of 12 teams. A big congratulations to Sophomore Meera Julka for taking medalist honors with a 79. She distanced the field by 7 strokes. Meera has qualified as an individual for the State Golf Tournament in Adel next week Thursday and Friday.
Congratulations to Meera Julka who earned First Team All Conference Honors tying with the lowest score of 85 on Monday at the final Valley Divisional meet and she also captured the Athlete of the Year Honor of the MVC - Valley Division for the 3-meet total!!
Congratulations to Kyla Johnson who earned Honorable Mention MVC honors as well.
Track and Field:
The Co-Ed State Track and Field meet is running today through Saturday. The Saints will have a great representation after last week’s state qualifier. The girls qualified for seven events and the boys qualified for seven events as well.

The Sprint Medley Relay made up of Naomi Durin, Braylen Conlon, Kate Weiss and Emma Arnold placed 2nd
Naomi Durin placed 2nd in the 100m Hurdles
Emma Arnold placed 1st in the 400m Hurdles
Jaclyn Meyer placed 2nd in the Long Jump
Ava VanBerkum placed 2nd in the High Jump

Aidan McDermott placed 1st in the 100m dash
Grayson Hartman placed 1st in the 110 High Hurdles
The 4 x100 relay team made up of Luke Efting, Grayson Hartman, Michael Cunningham and Aidan McDermott placed 1st.
Tennis:
Boys Team Tennis advanced to the final 4 in class 1A. The team defeated Grinnell and then Boone to advance this far. They will play next the 31st at Waveland Tennis Courts in Des Moines.
State Individual and Doubles takes place next week the 24th and 25th at Byrnes Park in Waterloo. Brady, Quincy, Declan and Hugh will be in action.
Girls Team tennis advanced to the state tournament on Saturday after defeating Central DeWitt on Wednesday 5-0. They will now take on Clarinda in the tournament at 11:30am.
State individual and Doubles will be the 27th and 28th at the University of Iowa Tennis Complex. Ella, Courtney, and Ally will be in action.
Trapshooting:
Trapshooting has another great weekend! Congratulations to Sarah Ellsworth for placing 1st in the women's division with a 92/100 at the Trap Shooting competition last Saturday, also this is a new personal best for Sarah!
Upcoming:
Softball will host their first game of the season next week on Thursday!
