GO SAINTS! XHS Activities Weekly Highlights: November 4, 2021

Drama Production

Next week, the drama department will have their production of “Newsies” on the 12th, 13th and 14th.  This show will feature over 60 of our Saints on stage so make sure to get your tickets.

Football:

The 4A #2 ranked Saints (9-1) defeated Burlington last week 45-8 in the first round of the 4A playoffs.  Tomorrow, the Saints will take on Webster City in the quarter finals here at Saints Field.  The kickoff is set for 7:00pm again, with a trip to the dome on the line.   

Volleyball:

The Saints earned their 6th straight appearance in the 4A State Volleyball Championships.  They finished their season with a 29-5 record and State QuarterFinal appearance.  

Dance

Dance competed this last weekend at the University of Iowa Dance competition.  They finished 2nd in the Dancers Challenge for our division and 3rd overall in the Dancers Challenge.  Great work ladies.

Cheerleading

The Saints Varsity cheer squad will be competing in the State Cheerleading Championships in Des Moines on Saturday hosted at the Jacobson Exhibition Center.  They will be performing at 6:05pm.  

Swimming and Diving

Our Saints that swim for Kennedy and Washington will be competing in the Regional Swimming competitions this week.  Diving will be tonight with Kennedy traveling to Dubuque Hempstead and Washington Traveling to Johnston.  Swimming will be on Saturday with Kennedy again traveling to Dubuque Hempstead and Washington traveling to Johnston.  

Upcoming Events

Next week Monday Girls Basketball, Bowling, and Boys Swimming start practice to kick off the winter season.
